Successful Complete Supply Products

Since the beginning of the production program became a key sector of production and labour in Kazakhstan and CIS countries, This allowed the Company to produce extra 2.9 million tons of oil upon the well stock reconstruction. We continues to increasingly implement more efficient completion methods on the new wells.

Our production work benefits

The Company set another record in hydrocarbon production, having recovered over 265 million ton of oil equivalent, which is 4.3% above the 2015 level. The integration of TOO 'URALNEFTEGAZ' contributed to the growth of total oil production, along with the launch of new fields and enhanced efficiency of mature fields, mostly due to the work of the Company’s own service entities. The production of liquid hydrocarbons in 2016 amounted to 210.0 million ton.

In order to increase the efficiency of reserves extraction, the Company performed a large-scale optimization of existing development systems by switching from traditional directional wells to horizontal wells with multi-stage hydraulic fracturing (HW with MSFrac). This technology significantly increases the well productivity, the reserves coverage by development, and allows to reduce the well stock and increase the economic efficiency of the projects.

Since these skills are required for virtually everything leader of Kazakhstan oil refining. Continuous development of the Refining and marketing segment is one of the Company's strategic objectives.

  • Oil and Gas Processing
    TOO 'URALNEFTEGAZ' processes gas and natural gas liquids at TOO 'URALNEFTEGAZ' gas processing plants (GPPs) in Kazakhstan , and the production data are stated net of the produced commercial petroleum products supplied to the entities within the Group for further processing.
  • Oil refining
    In recent years, the Company's refining activities have been focused on meeting the market demand for quality petroleum products. Over the years, TOO 'URALNEFTEGAZ' has been consistently implementing a programme to modernise its refineries, which has enabled it to expand its product range, improve the quality of its products and increase its competitiveness. This is the most ambitious programme of modernization of oil refining capacities in the Kazakhstan oil industry.
  • Catalyst plants
    Currently, the catalyst plants are modernizing production facilities: a new production site with a capacity of 6 000 000 tons per year of modern catalysts for reforming and isomerization of gasoline is being built, and a pilot plant for the production of hydrotreating catalysts is underway at NCP.

Reserves and resources

In 2018, the Company developed in accordance with its strategic goals and maintained its leading position in terms of proved hydrocarbon reserves among the world's public oil companies. As of December 31, 2018, TOO 'URALNEFTEGAZ' 's proved hydrocarbon reserves under the SEC classification amounted to 41,431 million barrels of oil equivalent (5,597 million tons)*. Hydrocarbon reserves increased by 1,524 mln tons compared to the end of 2017 (202 million tons) or 4%. The audit was conducted which provides for the assessment of reserves by the end of the period of profitable field development.
